Aging, disability and transportation
El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Sometimes it's hard to know where to find the help you need.
Project Amistad, 2-1-1 and the Department of Public Health want to help caregivers and the public find resources.
They put together a resource directory that gives a comprehensive list of organizations, like the Red Cross, support groups and food pantries, that they hope will clarify where to find assistance for people who take care of the elderly, low income or those with disabilities.
They kicked off the release today at the monthly health fair at the Polly Harris Senior Center.
"This is something that is very, very valuable in our community because of the fact that a lot of people have no idea how to access this information and so we understood that. We wanted to put it in one single book so people would be able to just at a glance be able to find information very quickly," said Roy Ortega of Project Amistad.
You can find the resource directory at Project Amistad's office, 1359 Lomaland, Suite 400 or El Paso's Department of Public Health 5115 El Paso Dr.
