More positive news for the housing market with impressive January home sales.
Home prices rose 8.1% in January, marking the biggest gain since 2006.
That's according to the The S&P Case-Shiller index, which tracks prices across the 20 largest markets in the nation.
Phoenix saw the biggest gains last year, with home prices up 23%.
Prices were up more than 10% in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Detroit, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Miami.
