EL PASO — When you think of an elephant, images of Picasso probably don't come to mind. However, that could change after your next visit to the zoo. This month the El Paso Zoo is showing off art painted by animals. The "Color Coded Animal Art Gallery" features the work of more than two dozen animals. The animals paint as part of their enrichment time. Some use their feet, others their paws. In fact, the zoo's orangutan even likes painting her nails.
"It's something that keeps them stimulated it's something that allows them, allows us to enrich their lives," said Karla Martinez, with the zoo.
To check out the animal art gallery just visit the zoo between March 16th and the 24th.
