(CNN) — Boeing says it's ready to get its grounded 787 Dreamliner back in the air. The company is waiting for the Federal Aviation Administration to clear its proposed fix for a battery problem. Boeing says the solution provides three levels of protection against fires in the jet's lithium batteries.
The F-A-A said it is reviewing Boeing's proposal, but won't give the green light until they are sure the batteries are safe. The Dreamliner fleet has been grounded worldwide since January 16 after battery fires aboard two 787s.
