EL PASO — El Paso firefighters put out a house fire in West El Paso Monday afternoon. Fortunately, the family was able to escape unharmed.
Crews responded to a call at 4:12 p.m. on the 1400 block of Luz de Sol.
We spoke with El Paso Fire Department spokesperson George De La Torre who tells us strong winds quickly spread the blaze.
Thirty-four firefighters were on scene, and the home reportedly suffered extensive damage.
The Red Cross is now assisting those homeowners with a new place to stay.
