EL PASO — It was a sold out show for the last day of Grease at UTEP.
The UTEP Theatre Department put on the show which was based on the 1971 musical set on a fictional school in 1959. It follows 10 teenagers as they navigate through things like love, teenage pregnancy, cars and gang violence.
Our very own Mark Mathis played Vince Fontaine in the popular musical.
The cast was sad it’s ending.
"It's kinda bitter sweet because they're excited it's coming to an end. They're kinda sad it's coming to an end because they worked together for about two and half months and it's coming to an end. They're not gonna see each other every day. The cast has gotten very close. They all get along which is rare and it's been a great experience for everyone I think," said Director Jaime Barba.
The show has been playing at the University Dinner Theatre for five weeks.
