The Aggie baseball teams heads to Greenville, N.C., to play in the Keith LeClaire Classic hosted by East Carolina. NM State faces East Carolina, Friday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. The Aggies then take on Illinois, Saturday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. before wrapping up the tournament against Ohio, Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m.
The New Mexico State men's basketball team takes a break from WAC play and hosts I-10 rival UTEP, Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in Las Cruces. This is an AggieVision production with Jeff Matthews and Glen Cerny. The game is shown live on Comcast across New Mexico, Altitude2, CSN-Houston and ESPN3 and tape delayed until 10 p.m. in Las Cruces and 1 a.m. on Fox Sports-Arizona. The game can be heard on the Aggie Sports Network and KGRT 104 FM in Las Cruces with the 'Voice of the Aggies' Jack Nixon, and the pregame show starts 30 minutes prior to tip. The game is also available in Spanish with Edgar Gardell on Vista 98.7 FM.
The Aggie women's basketball team looks to continue its win streak with a week off from conference play and welcomes CSU Bakersfield, Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Pan American Center at 4 p.m.
The New Mexico State men's golf team travels to Houston, Texas, this week for the Bayou City Collegiate Championships, hosted by the University of Houston and Rice University. Justin Shin, Kenneth Fadke, Derek Baade, Brett Walker and Willy Hogan represent the Aggies. NM State takes on six ranked teams and three conference opponents; Houston, Rice, Baylor, Charlotte, Chattanooga, East Carolina, Houston Baptist, Indiana, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, South Carolina, UT Arlington and UTSA.
The New Mexico State women's golf team kicks off its spring season by participating in the Folino Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, which began on Feb. 17. The three-round tournament is played through Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the par 71, 6,067-yards Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms located in Industry Hills, Calif., just east of Los Angeles. Each day will consist of one 18-hole round.
The Aggie softball team moves to 7-4 on the season before spending a week wrapped in rivalry games. On Tuesday, Feb. 19, the Aggies host in-state rival New Mexico for the second time this season. NM State then makes the short trip to El Paso, Texas to face South Dakota and southern rival UTEP for two games on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24.
After a week off, the NM State women's tennis team heads to the West Coast for three days of dual competition. NM State faces Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Feb. 22, and then continues on a California route against UC Irvine and Cal State Northridge.
Track and Field
The Aggie track and field team travels to Albuquerque, N.M., for the WAC Indoor track and field Championships, Thursday, Feb. 21 through Saturday, Feb. 23.
