El Paso — Some East El Paso residents have a big mess to clean up and it's all because of an early morning accident that happened on Friday. This accident hospitalized one man.
Authorities say the vehicle slammed into a stone fence around 2:15 AM. The homeowner, Pete Flores, whose fenced was damaged in this incident says he woke up to a loud noise and found the driver of the Cadillac slumped over the two front seats of the vehicle. Flores also says he appeared unconscious and was not wearing his seat belt.
The homeowner tells us that this is not the first time a crash like this has happened on Bayo near Pebble Hills and Yarbrough.
"This is the fourth time it's happened. Ever since we've been here in the past year it's been, it's happened that they knocked this fence down. It's a pretty solid fence made out of cinder block and cement and but they knocked it down. This is the fourth time," Flores says.
Flores says he's asked the city if he could install poles to prevent drivers from crashing into his fence. He claims the city denied his requests.
Police have not identified the driver and they have not said whether alcohol or speed are factors in this crash.
