EL PASO — Texas State Troopers and Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened at 4:55 p.m. Saturday in East El Paso.
According Trooper Elizabeth Barney, Spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Texas Parks and Wildlife Officer was in the area of Gateway East near Hawkins when shots were fired.
It is unclear if the Texas Parks and Wildlife Officer was the one who fired a gun, or if it was someone else. Trooper Barney could not confirm if anyone was injured in the shooting.
She said the Texas Rangers will be leading the investigation out of Austin.
