El Paso- The restaurant business continues to grow not just in El Paso, but nationwide.
An industry report released last December said in 2013, restaurant food sales were expected to exceed 600-billion dollars. That upward trend is also evident in the Sun City. Upper Rio Grande Workforce Solutions held another job fair, but this one was only for and about local restaurants. The mini fair allowed waiters, bartenders and cooks to meet with owners and managers from several restaurants. The order of business was taking applications and on the spot interviews.
The rising popularity and growth of this business, don't be surprised if these mini fairs become more frequent because this year restaurants plan to employ 13.1-million workers. That's about ten percent of the total U.S. workforce.
