Residents in the southeast and midwest are picking up the pieces after a deadly storm system ripped through the area. The storms downed trees and power lines and damaged hundreds of homes. One Georgia man was killed when a tree fell on his home. The storm system also destroyed homes hundreds of miles away in Nashville. Another man was killed there when a tree fell onto his shed. It's been 220 days since a tornado has claimed a life in the United States. That is a new record for most consecutive days without a fatality.
