An early morning fire caused a Chinese restaurant to close, fire officials said.
The fire broke out just before 2 a.m. at the China Start Restaurant on the 9200 block of Dyer.
The fire started in a back storage room and crews were able to put it out within ten minutes.
The fire caused additional fires throughout the restaurant including in the restroom and entry way. The restaurant also sustained smoke damage.
Damages are estimated $45,000.00
The Health Department is assisting the restaurant to determine how the fire will affect business, officials said.
It is not known when the restaurant will reopen.
