El Paso- The Exploreum's opening day celebration is just around the corner.
A new children's museum will open it's doors Saturday, January 26 at 10 a.m.. The clock is ticking though to get the job done. Volunteers have been working 10 hour days, 7 days a week to finish the building that sits right next door to the Lynx Exhibits in downtown El Paso. This newly remodeled building will be the home of the El Paso Exploreum.
It's still locally owned and operated and it will house traveling exhibits like it's predecessor. Co Founder Laurie Paternoster is calling it a Living Laboratory that will also have interactive exhibits in four categories: construction, aviation, role-play and high tech.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 9:45 Saturday morning and admission will be $6 for the day.
