EL PASO — A teenager involved in a west El Paso crash Friday died over the weekend as a result of her injuries El Paso Police said. Roxanna Ladron de Guevara, 16, was one of four crash victims in Friday's accident on the intersection of Resler and Northern Pass.
Investigators said a Ford Focus, driven by 18-year-old Jason Casper, was traveling westbound on Northern Pass and drove past a stop sign and into the intersection. At that time a 2009 Ford Truck was being driven by 35 year old Donald Patterson south on Resler. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Ladron de Guevara was a passenger in the Focus and was transported to University Medical Center for treatment where she later died. Casper, Patterson and an 11-year-old passenger in the truck were also transported University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators have not determined if alcohol, speed or failure to wear a safety belt were factors in this crash.
