HORIZON CITY, TX — DPS State Troopers said they didn't wear seatbelts, and Saturday morning on I-10 near Horizon City, a woman driving an SUV and her male passenger were thrown from the vehicle as it rolled and came to a stop on its roof.
The woman died at the scene about 8:30 Saturday morning. The passenger survived and made it to the hospital. A DPS trooper tells Local 4 News the black SUV is registered to an Alabama owner.
The names of the crash victims are not released. DPS said speed was another factor in the fatal crash.
