EL PASO — El Paso's economy continues to grow. That's according to the Brooking Institution's latest MetroMonitor report that was released this week. The Washington D.C based think tank says the city's economy grew nearly one percent this last quarter and ranks 17th best among the nation's largest metro areas. The bad news? El Paso's unemployment rate of 9.2% remains well above the national jobless rate of 7.8%.
