LAS CRUCES — A burglary suspect has been arrested following an extensive search through a Doña Ana neighborhood Thursday after neighbors reportedly saw the suspect break into a home, deputies said.
A neighbor called police Thursday morning after they allegedly saw the man gain entrance though a window.
When the suspect saw the first deputy arrive to the scene, they said he fled on foot.
A perimeter of the area was set up and K-9 units combed surrounding houses in search of the suspect, who was later found in a shed behind the home he had allegedly broken into.
The suspect has been taken into custody and will be booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center.
