The Sun Bowl Association is proud to announce the addition of the “Sun Bowl Sky Party” to its schedule of bowl events. The Sun Bowl will host El Paso’s first official new year’s eve party on the rooftop of the Sun Bowl Drive parking garage on Dec. 31st from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
“We thought this was a great way to kick-off Sun Bowl game day festivities,” stated Bernie Olivas, Executive Director of the Sun Bowl Association. “It is a sky-high tailgate experience 50 feet off the ground where Sun Bowl fans can park and party before the game.”
The event is free and open to the public, food and drinks will be available for purchase. The Sky Party offers a ready-made tailgate experience to fans of all ages.
The Sky Party will feature live music from local band Riboflavin, live DJs and performances from both participating university marching bands. Aside from cold beer and beverages, football fans can purchase food from Delicious Mexican Eatery, Cabo Joe’s and Crave Kitchen and Bar featuring a savory range of border favorites from posole and gorditas to hamburgers, brats and a full breakfast.
The 79th Annual Hyundai Sun Bowl featuring Southern California and Georgia Tech is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 31 at noon (MST). Nashville-recording artist Lee Brice will perform at halftime. Ticket prices for the game are $17, $22, $32, $42, $52 and $62.
