The Washington Redskins had something to prove, and proved it all night long in a 38-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium on Thanksgiving.
Dallas had gone 28-15-1 all-time on Thanksgiving, winning five of its last six and have taken all six Thanksgiving matchups against the Redskins, until tonight.
After getting behind early in the game, the Dallas Cowboys were about to mount a pretty good comeback in the 4th quarter to come within one touchdown of the Washington Redskins.
Jason Garrett, Cowboys Head Coach, said, "We didn't do enough enough on offense to keep up with them in the first half, i thought are team responded well in the second half to get us back into the ball game and make it a one score game but ultimately it wasn't enough. We lost Miles Austin early on in the ball game, Bruce Carter got hurt, Hatch got hurt, Orlando Scandrick got hurt, but if you are on the roster, if you are part of the 61, 53, 46, you got to be ready to play."
Cowboys QB Tony Romo added, "Football is the ultimate team sport and we all know that and we have a lot of guys who gave a lot of great effort tonight and it wasn't good enough and we need to do things better to figure out how to be a better football team. We need to do the little things better, and i know we got a lot of new guys who are playing right now and a lot of guys banged up but that's why we practice and do a lot of things so guys can step in and do a good job."
