EL PASO, TX — A conference was held Sunday to educate families, school officials and people in the work place about the effects of epilepsy. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that can cause seizures. You can either be born with it or the condition can develop. A head injury may also cause epilepsy. Currently, in the United States about 3,000,000 people have epilepsy. The disorder can be especially hard for children. It's estimated 10,000- 15,000 residents in the Borderland have epilepsy.
