El Paso fire crews responded to a house fire early Thursday afternoon.
The fire started on the 1100 block of Cotton Street at approximately 12:33pm. Fire officials say they saw smoke coming from the attic windows. Approximately 9 units and 25 firefighters responded to the scene.
According to a fire investigator the fire started in one of the bedrooms and extended to a portion of the attic space.
No one was inside the home when fire crews arrived on the scene and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
Red Cross of El Paso is assisting the displaced family of three with clothing items. The family has an alternate place to stay.
Damages are estimated at $45,000.00.
