Source of Leak in Santa Teresa Still Unknown

SANTA TERESA, NM — The Doña Ana County Industrial Park and the Santa Teresa Airport have reopened after people in the area reported smelling a strong odor Tuesday.

About 200 people were treated for difficulty breathing, light-headedness, nausea and dizziness. A one mile area surrounding the industrial park was evacuated.

The Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services department and the New Mexico State Police Department are still investigating what exactly made people ill yesterday.
