Doña Ana County — A Doña Ana County Corrections Facility inmate that died two months ago, died from choking to death on a bag of cocaine he swallowed. Thats according to the Medical Examiner's autopsy report.
57 year-old Hermillo Salcedo died August 5 after corrections officer say he swallowed a bag of cocaine when guards suspected he was hiding it in a body cavity.
County spokesperson Jess Williams tells local four a full investigation was conducted and the sheriff's office found that all protocol was followed.
