LA UNION, NM — Many people took part in a unique 5K run for a good cause.
On Saturday, Erace3 put on a 5K zombie run in La Union, New Mexico. The organization puts on events like this one in hopes of stopping obesity in El Paso.
The 5K run is not like any other.
"They just did about 12 obstacles. They went through hay. They went through arroyos, water and all that stuff just to have a great time," said race director Brian Guzman.
"There's zombies everywhere trying to take your flags and I lost my flags to the zombies and came across as the running dead," said Jaime Barcelau with the Paso Del Norte Children's Development Center.
The zombie run benefits the Paso Del Norte Children's Development Center, which provides services to children with special needs and their families.
