EL PASO, TX — On Saturday Borderland fishers gathered at a popular El Paso lake to try to get the biggest catch, a giant fish. Kids as young as three were out at Ascarate lake in the lower valley at one of the lake's yearly fishing events. Ascarate President, Frank De La Rosa says the fishing competitions are a great way to spend some time outdoors with the whole family. All the kids who registered received free food and t-shirts.
