La Union, N.M. — If you love wine, you won't need to travel to the valleys of California to get yourself a glass of fresh wine. This weekend is the annual La Vina Wine Festival off highway 28 in southern New Mexico. Built in 1977, it is the oldest winery in the state. The winery grows twenty different types of grapes and makes twenty 25 different wines from them.
The festival is open this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
