FORT BLISS, TX — The director of the movie Fort Bliss is getting ready to pack up his bags and director's chair tomorrow as the movie wraps up. The filming at Fort Bliss incorporates combat training skills and mission essential tasks that Fort Bliss soldiers train on already. Fort Bliss officials say they're excited for this opportunity to highlight soldiers and their families along with the training they go through. One of the background characters, Sergeant Matthew Goldsmith gives a brief synopsis of the movie saying, "It's about the character's deployment and return home to Fort Bliss where she's stationed, and how she's dealing with returning after seeing some of the things soldiers currently go through in Afghanistan." Fort Bliss is expected to go to the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014 and is expected hit theaters the following month.
