EL PASO — UPDATE:
Police charged Fredrick Pulley, 33, with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following a SWAT standoff.
According to El Paso Police, Pulley was arguing with his wife when he pulled out a gun and threatened her.
Police arrived at the couple's home in the 2000 block of Shreya shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, but Pulley refused to come out and barricaded himself inside with two children.
About five hours later at approximately 7:00 a.m. Pulley peacefully surrendered and walked out of the home.
No injuries were reported.
A man peacefully surrendered to police after a 5-hour SWAT standoff in East El Paso.
According to El Paso Police Spokesperson Javier Sambrano, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in the 2000 block of Shreya St. in far East El Paso shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday. Police said a man in his 30's barricaded himself inside the home with two children.
"Officers from the Pebble Hills Regional Command responded out there, made various attempts to try to make contact with the individual to make sure that everyone was okay, and that this individual was okay," said Sambrano.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. the man exited the home and surrendered peacefully. The two children were also found safe.
The suspect was arrested and may face criminal charges.
