EL PASO — Police suspect a woman was driving drunk when she crashed her vehicle into a parked car in East El Paso.
The wreck happened shortly after midnight Monday on Stephanie Dr.
Police said the woman had a small poodle in her lap when she lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the back of a Lincoln Navigator that was parked along the street.
The owner of the parked SUV said he was getting ready for bed when he heard the loud crash and ran outside. He said he tried to ask the woman if she was hurt and told her not to move, but said she seemed disoriented and got out of the vehicle anyway.
The man said the woman was also uncooperative with paramedics on the scene. She was eventually taken to the hospital, and police said she would later be arrested for DWI.
