EL PASO — Law enforcement and public safety agencies throughout the region, in conjunction with the Diocese of El Paso, will host the third Annual Law Enforcement and Public Safety Mass, Friday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa.
The mass is offered in Thanksgiving for the sacrifice and service to the community given by law enforcement and public safety officers at every level. The celebration begins with a Mass celebrated by Rev. Anthony C. Celino, JCL Delegate of the Apostolic Administrator.
The Mass will be an opportunity for the public, law enforcement and public safety communities to honor and pray for fallen officers. Survivors of law enforcement officers and public safety personnel killed in the line of duty will attend. All attendees are invited to a reception in the St. Patrick’s Multi-Purpose Center immediately following the Mass.
“I would like to encourage members of our community as well as law enforcement and public safety officers of all faiths, along with their family and friends to attend and help us honor these fallen heroes as well as the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way for us on a daily basis,” Robert Almonte, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas.
