El Paso — El Paso is getting a Triple A baseball stadium downtown, but what will that new stadium look like? This friday the city will host a public lecture by Notre Dame architecture professor Phillip Bess. Bess will talk about the design and construction of urban baseball parks across the country. Bess argues that the economic impacts of ballparks are only achieved through design, and says there's a lot to learn from the wisdom of old urban stadiums like Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago. Friday's lecture will begin at six p.m in the downtown library auditorium.
