El Paso-- The battle against domestic partner benfits for city employees continues.
El Pasoans for Traditional Family Values went before city council Tuesday to announce it will start a second petition drive. It needs more than 2,000 signatures. If they are collected the item will be put on November's general election ballot.
Last year, city council passed the benfits ordinance. It allows unmarried and same-sex partners of employees to particpate in the city's health care insurance program.
