CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO — A big bust for police in Juarez. They arrested three young men from southern New Mexico, who allegedly extorted thousands of dollars from almost 80 Juarez businesses. The three told police that they crossed the border every week for two years to carry out their extortion scheme. It's unclear how they got the money, but police were waiting for them this time and arrested the trio.
18-year-old Carlos Mora, 23-year-old Feliz Gomez, and 19-year-old Fernando Gomez are now behind bars. All three are from Las Cruces or Chapparal. Mora is a student at Del Valle High School in El Paso.
