Monday, El Paso County Commissioners will vote on a $110 million bond.
$44 million would expand and improve the El Paso County Jail annex and $27 million would go to the completion of the Tornillo-Guadalupe port of entry.
The rest of the bond money would go toward things like fixing the plumbing in the county courthouse, replacing the roof at the sheriff's headquarters and buying new patrol cars for the sheriff's office.
If approved, the tax impact would be between 1.7 cents to 1.9 cents per $100 property valuation.
That's about 1.96 a month, almost $24 a year for the average homeowner.
