EL PASO — A week-long operation targeting individuals with outstanding felony warrants garnered 181 arrests, resulting in a clearance of 335 warrants.
"Today [Friday] we celebrate the culmination of Operation Sandstorm II and the outstanding partnership of local, state and federal law enforcement," Robert Almonte, the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas said. "The residents of El Paso should feel comforted by the tremendous work and commitment shown in this week's collaborative effort."
Arrests ranged from charges of a stabbing assault, organized crime, attempted murder, indecency with a child and drug possession among others.
