El Paso — A woman was hospitalized Thursday morning after what police call something short of a miracle. She survived a rollover accident in Northeast El Paso and walked away with only minor injuries.
Police say it all happened around 1:30 Thursday morning. The woman was traveling Northbound at speeds more than 20 miles more than the speed limit on McCombs Street. Investigators say she veered off the road, into the median, dipped into the ditch and landed upside down. With such a small space to crawl out of - she managed to do just that.
Police say there was no blood, and she just walked away with just a bump on her head. In fact, she did not want to go to the hospital only when EMT's persuaded her to go did she follow their advice.
Police have not released her identity and they do not suspect alcohol to be a factor in this crash.
