El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The El Paso Fire Department's Combined Search and Rescue Team pulled a 40-year-old woman to safety after she reportedly fell 200 yards down the side of Transmountain early Saturday morning.
According to El Paso Fire Department Spokesperson George DeLaTorre, the woman's son called 911 at 2:01 a.m. Saturday when his mother reportedly fell down the side of the picnic area on the west side of Transmountain.
She was unable to walk back up, so the rescue crew tied her to a stretcher and took her back up the mountain.
The woman had scrapes on her legs and told firefighters she felt pain in both of her feet, but she did not need to go to the hospital.
The incident ended shortly at 5:35 a.m.
