Woman Encounters Mountain Lion in Chaparral

Chaparral, NM.- Otero County Sheriff's Deputies reportedly shot and killed a mountain lion who tried to attack a woman in Chaparral. They say the animal had been seen pacing along the fence of a home. When it approached the woman, she was able to scare it off, but it ran under a trailer. Fortunately she was not injured. Deputies reportedly shot the animal after contacting the State Department of Game and Fish.
