Woman allegedly robs Las Cruces beauty store at gunpoint

Las Cruces police said shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday a woman walked into the Sally Beauty Supply at 1455 Hickory Lane and threatened one of the employees with what appeared to be a handgun. The suspect allegedly stole cash and merchandise from the store and was last seen leaving the store, heading northbound on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, in her early 30s, approximately 5’5” tall and 160 pounds. She was wearing a gray beanie, black hoodie and dark-colored jeans. The woman was said to have crooked teeth and had a strong odor of cigarette smoke.
