"Winter Wonderland" Open to Public View at Children's Home

Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 8:14pm

The Lee and Beulah Moor Children's Home was looking like a winter wonderland this holiday season.

Over 200 individual pieces of ceramic, wood, and metal structures and figurines are decorating the auditorium. It took more than two weeks to construct and design the amazing display.

"This display is a gift to the community to El Paso from the Lee and Beulah Moore Children's Home," said Paul Whittler, Community Relations. "It started more than 10 years ago through a generous donation its meant to represent a snowy village during Christmas time and it's a beautiful exhibit. It has two working trains and a water fall... a working carousel and skating rings."

The "Winter Wonderland" will be open to the public until Friday, Dec. 28 and it's free. It's located at 1100 East cliff in central El Paso.
