LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The New Mexico Department of Health said there are 5 confirmed cases of West Nile Virus in Dona Ana County as of Friday.
El Paso has 16 confirmed cases and 2 deaths.
A NM Department of Health spokesperson said it could be possible Dona Ana County residents are not reporting the cases because they have only experienced mild flu-like symptoms.
No dengue fever cases have been reported in Dona Ana County.
