El Paso Police say they will be charging Harris with Criminal Attempted Capital Murder. Harris is currently being treated at University Medical Center and will be booked upon his release.

A search of Harris' criminal record indicates that he was involved in an alleged aggravated robbery and was also allegedly in possession of 5.4 grams of crack cocaine in Northeast El Paso in October 2013.

Harris Bond was set at $500,000. EPPD says they recovered the weapon Harris used during the shooting inside of his hotel room at the DeSoto Hotel.

Police will release Harris' most recent mugshot when he is released from UMC.
