Vice President Joe Biden in Rome - will attend inaugural mass of Pope Francis

(CNN) — Vice President Joe Biden met with Italy's Prime Minister Mario Monti today (Monday) in Rome. Biden is in Italy to attend the inaugural mass of newly-elected Pope Francis tomorrow (Tuesday). He will lead the U-S delegation for the formal installation.

Biden is the first Roman Catholic to serve as vice president.
