EL PASO, TX — A UTEP professor has just published a study examining air pollution at border crossings.
Professor Hector Olvera carried out the study at the International Bridge of the Americas.
For the study, he measured the concentration of diesel-emitted ultrafine in the area.
The study suggests that the above normal UFP levels are expected within distances of 400 meters from the crossing, which include Chamizal National Park and Bowie High School.
The study was published in the prestigious publication "Nature."
