UTEP Adds New Degree

Chemistry lovers rejoice; starting the Spring of 2011 UTEP will offer Biochemistry as a major.

Students who major in biochemistry can go into medical school or another graduate program. With the new major comes a new building - a 140,000 square foot one, in fact.

UTEP has been trying to grow its chemistry department; the entire department had 46 undergraduates in 2001 and now has over 200.
