El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The Amigo Airsho announced that the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will be headlining next year's event from November 1-2, 2014 on Friday. The Airsho organizers will hold the event at its new location in Santa Teresa at the Dona Ana County Airport in 2014.
“The 2014 show will be the Airsho’s debut in a new venue and the scheduling during the first weekend of November is also a first for us,” said Roxie Samaniego, Amigo Airsho Board President. “Bringing the Thunderbirds back as headliners is a thrill.”
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be celebrating their 60th anniversary. Throughout the years, millions have witnessed their aerial demonstration, which has approximately forty maneuvers, varying between formation flying and solo routines.
“Now that we’re locked in on our dates, our team can start putting the large components of logistics in place,” commented Amigo Airsho CEO, Pancho Mangan. “Securing the Thunderbirds is tremendous for our organization and we look forward to a successful show in 2014.”
The Amigo Airsho organizers say that they are providing quality family entertainment for all of West Texas, New Mexico and Northern Mexico. They are committed to providing the region with innovative, safe and exciting aerial performances, as well as other engaging family activities.
