El Paso, TX (KDBC) — UPDATE: The 14-year-old was released from the hospital Saturday night.
ORIGINAL: A 14-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after a near-drowning in Northeast El Paso. It happened at an apartment complex on Norton St. near Sunrise Ave.
El Paso Fire Department Spokesperson George De La Torre said they received several calls shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday about a boy who was believed to be drowning.
When paramedics arrived, the boy was out of the water and someone was performing CPR.
The boy was taken to the El Paso Children's Hospital in serious condition.
