SOCORRO — UPDATE: Socorro City Representative Jesse Gandara Jr. bonded out of jail at about 10 p.m. Monday.
ORIGINAL: Socorro City representative Jesse Gandara Jr. turned himself in to authorities Monday afternoon.
A grand jury indicted him last week on a theft charge of property valued up to $20 thousand.
Gandara Jr. also faced an additional charge of misappropriating financial property of up to $20 thousand.
