El Paso, TX (KDBC) — UPDATE:
El Paso Electric officials said power was restored to the majority of customers shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to El Paso Electric, 498 customers are experiencing a power outage in West El Paso. The outage started about 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
George De La Torre, spokesperson for El Paso Electric, said the cause of the outage is still unknown. It is not clear if it is weather related.
Strong winds gusts on Saturday causes a power line to snap in Northeast El Paso, leaving more than 2,000 customers without power.
