EL PASO - Funeral plans for Frank Hammond have been finalized. After airing a story over the weekend about a family that needed help taking their grandfather to the morgue, many stepped up to help.
Mount Carmel Funeral Home on El Paso's eastside offered to pay for the full expense of burying Hammond. The family accepted a graveside service at Fort Bliss with military honors. The service is scheduled Wednesday at 2:30 pm.

KDBC and Mt. Carmel Funeral home and others: THANK YOU for helping Darlene bury her beloved husband Frank.
I have known this family 13 years. There wasn't anything Frank wouldn't do for anyone. His wife and their children, grandchildren are the same way. These are good people and absolutely no one deserved to go thru what this family did on Friday.
May Frank rest in peace; may Darlene get a good nite's rest. May the good Lord shine on all of the people that helped bury Frank.
